Requirements for Jools UK Disco
Because of the size of the disco rig, for the full disco, we need a flat level area, of approx. 3.5m (12ft) wide and 2.5m (9ft) deep. We also require a height of 1.9m (6.5ft). The standard full equipment rig requires two 13amp sockets. These two sockets need to be either on a ring main, or on separate supplies. The power sockets need to be within 30 meters of the location.

We can run a smaller disco rig, but some of the lights will not be available.

Jools UK Disco uses safety RCD's on all of its power supplies. However, the location of the disco requires to be dry, and free of any possibility of rain.

Setup and Take down times

To setup the disco rig, takes around 1hr 15mins. This is usually done immediately before the disco (however, it can be setup a few hours earlier by arrangement and extra cost). At the end of the disco, it takes roughly 1 hour to take down. The disco comes in a trailer (packed like a 3D jigsaw), towed by a big 4x4 truck. We need to be able to park this as close to the disco location as possible, as we have around 550kgs of equipment! We carry a sack truck, and a number of items are on professional case wheels, but stairs do still prevent a problem and a delay to setting up and taking down.
