How Important Should Price Be

After reading the page about Professional DJ's, I wont be booking an amateur DJ for my function! Tell me more about your pricing?

When compared to other party related expenses, a mobile disc jockey is a bargain. The national estimated cost of a Wedding, Corporate Event etc is well over £15,000. We feel that we offer our clients a top quality service especially when compared to other entertainment services.

For example:

A Top band that plays 2x 45 minute sets may charge anything from £1,500 to £6,000+. Tribute bands, depending on status, can charge from £2,000 to £10,000+ per function

To secure the services of a professional Toastmaster for a Wedding will be in the region of £300+ (approx 2-3 hours)
Professional Magicians can charge anything up to £ 400+ for a 2 hour bespoke presentation

High quality Photographers can cost as much as £1,500 - £2,500

Wedding cake can cost as much as £500 - £1,200

Basic meal service (chicken) for 150 guests £5,000 - £8000,

Marques can cost from £500 to £5,000

Hotel Function room from £1,000 to £2,500

Casino Night £750 to £7000 depending on how many tables

Race nights £400, Bucking Broncos £600 and all the other fun related stuff that Corporate events stage.

Ask yourself these questions; is the Disco entertainment less than 5% responsible for the success of any Function / Reception? Is price important? Yes, it is. but no price is a good price if you do not like the quality of your DJ. We realize how important any Function may be and how much you would like everything to be perfect. Jools Disco is built on referrals from our very satisfied customers over the last 5 years.

At this point, we would like to dispel the myth that we just stand and play CDs or records. A professional DJ is reading the reaction of the guests, making announcements, organising timings, taking requests, controlling lights etc.

The professional audio and lighting equipment we use represents between £10,000 to £15,000 investment to enable us to provide the right service for each individual function. To hire the standard of equipment that we employ for an evening, would exceed £250+ alone (without a DJ)! Regular maintenance and regular servicing guarantees equipment reliability and quality presentation. Personal investment into quality audio and state of the art visual systems is over and above the accepted norm. A DJ is expected to play the right music at the right volume, we have a wide and varied knowledge of music which combined with our level of experience, enables us to add value to your function. It is for these reasons that DJ's don't just play music.
